FAA imposes HUGE $1.9M fine for illegal UAS operations to SkyPan

This should serve as a wake up call to those operating outside the law with UAVs.  This company only recently came into compliance via the Section 333 exemption, and it's incredibly unlikely the FAA would have given them a COA to fly in the high density population areas in which they've flown. http://www.faa.gov/news/press_releases/news_story.cfm?newsId=19555
